Extractor Fan Help

I have a holiday rental property and need an extractor fan for the bathroom. I am after a fan that comes on automatically when it needs to. I have tried pull cord, and timer fans that come on with the light but people don't turn them on especially in the summer when they do not need to use the light.
A couple of months ago I fitted an Xpelair humidistat fan that is supposed to come on when the humidity rises. The fan comes on but then just stays on and never turns off even though it is set on its minimum setting.
Xpelair have now changed this fan 4 times and every one they send me does the same.
I have looked online but all humidistat fans I have found have got bad reviews.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

When you say it was on minimum setting, is that the humidity trigger setting? There will be step difference between the 'on' and 'off' humidity levels and if the lowest 'off' setting is around 50% then it might not ever get the humidity low enough to switch off. Have you tried adjusting the humidistat setting higher?0

Why not fit a fan or operate in with a PIR sensor ???
Plenty of choice on DR Google

A competent electrician should be able to fit a PIR sensor to your existing fan I would have thought.

This is the adjustment for the humidity. When I say minimum, I mean set to 90% humidity rather than maximum 50% humidity.0
