Thanks mcculloch!Glad to see you are still Using Up!
Hello all! I've got a bit of news.....I'M ENGAGED!
Congratulations kadison! :jI went to Newcastle today to do my theory test, and I passed!
I had a few hours after my test to have a look round the city with some friends, and I went into The Body Shop and bought a few minis to try. So I have three INs today:
The Body Shop Mango shower gel 60ml
The Body Shop Shea body scrub 50ml
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream 15ml
And congratularions sstevo!
And happy birthday to all the celebrants.
Isn't this a happy thread at the moment?!
Right, I have one more UU: Est!e Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme. WIBA? This is far too old for me - it's more for ladies who have reached a certain age - but my mum wasn't using it up and it cost a ruddy fortune so I helped her declutter it when helping her to simplify her eye-watering stash. I'm not sure if I'm just used to simpler products, but it appears to be quite heavily scented as well as quite thick and nourishing.
I hope the rest of you are all well. Please call me 'Pickle'

One TA (It will be once I get to work):
Palmer’s Concentrated Cream 60g WDNBA. Mineral oil strikes again. I read the ingredients for this the other day, and now wonder my skin was itchy after using it. So I'm taking a hand cream to work to replace it with. It was nearing being finished though, so I didn't waste much of it.0 -

I should not go into Boots. I bought three things, so three INs:
Impulse Instant Crush body spray
Impulse Charli XCX body spray
Hylamide Low-Molecular HA serum
The Hylamide range is on half price in Boots at the moment, and I've been wanting to try a Hyaluronic Acid serum for a while now.0 -
Ladies I've been useless and bought 5 things!?!?!? And I'm debating doing a lush order.... I really want to! Some of the kitchen stuff sounds very my vibe.
Feeling a bit low and bad about my shopping as I've bought loads of toiletries this month.0 -

Feeling a bit low and bad about my shopping as I've bought loads of toiletries this month.
What works for me for all forms of retail temptation is to visualise myself eating/using it, whilst in the shop/online.
If it is clothing, what will I wear with it? Do I have something very similar already, is that why I like it? (Before I employed this, I had been known to accidentally buy the same thing twice.)
Food- if it's high calorie what does it taste like? Is that taste worth derailing a diet for?
Toiletries - what do I have already that is going to lie unused and potentially going off if I buy this?
What does it give me that what I already own doesn't give me?
Why I am buying this? What else can I do that will make me feel 'better'? (Example, give my feet a relaxing home pedicure rather than buy an expensive foot cream that I don't really need.)
If you are already upset by what you have bought, buying more may not be your best strategy.
Although sometimes, when you break a diet, getting your splurge out of the way on one day and getting back on track the day after is better for you in the long run.
I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. Consider yourself hugged, if you feel you can accept it.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... 19 Boots Extracts Mango body butter WDNBA horrible synthetic smell.
Of all the Boots body butters I enjoyed the Coconut, Almond and peppermint ones.
Am throwing away an OPI Top Coat as it makes my lacquer shrink.
Have seen the preview of the OPI TSV which is being aired on Wednesday. Very disappointed as it contains all old colours.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

One UU from this morning:
Impulse Rock & Love 35ml WDBA. Loving these Impulse sprays at the moment, well, I always have. It was a nice scent0 -
Thank you Muccolloch for the kind words and advice. I think it is because I am feeling down, overwhelmed and out of control and I'm trying to pamper myself to relax. I haven't been too silly I don't have loads of back ups of things but I think I didn't buy much for a while and then suddenly spent.
Have resisted a lush order for now. I have to move house soon and I think I will wait until I've moved and reward myself with a few bits then.
Here were my ins:
Lush figs and leaves soap (going to try this in the shower)
Lush milk bar bubble bar
A shampoo, coniditioner and scalp treatment from brand I forget from boots
A deodorant I think Sanex
Then UU:
Lush wash behind your ears shower gel WMBA quite liked the scent of this, quite uplifting but felt a bit weird on the skin.
Nude serum WNBA too expensive for what I felt it did (was a freebie full size as an apology for something from SpaceNK) and I think I'd be keen to try a different one next but maybe do without for a bit or get a cheaper one.
Soon to UU a deodorant (hence new one) and my current conditioner.
How's everyone's weekends going?0 -
Thanks Houseplant, I was worried that my advice sounded patronising, but then I remembered that buying the same item twice happened more than once in fairly recent years before I had a word with myself.
I think I shall line up a good pamper session tomorrow. No UUs on the horizon.
I've repurposed an incredibly thick Burt's Bees body lotion as hand cream. It takes a while to dispense a body full so hands it is for the sake of my sanity.
170g and only a few splodges gone. I may be some time...
Oooh, yes. If anyone else has Amazon Prime, you can now read magazines on your Kindle or Kindle App as part of your perks. I read Good Housekeeping this afternoon and was pleased to see that I owned quite a few of their best buy beauty recommendations.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
