Yes I think doing one weekly food shop instead of an 'as and when' is also on my 'to do' list in order to get some NSDs in a row!
Thanks for your ideas
I've had 3 NSDs since joining, so feeling pleased
Well done! The more you do it, the easier it will become.0 -

Still stuck at 12, determined to reach 13 by the end of the month.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
Debt Free Stage 2 - Completed 50/181 Payments0 -
Back today from holiday, so only managed to get one more NSD this week, bringing my total to 12.
I am determined to cut the spending, so when I replenish the food stores tomorrow, I will be in frugality mode.
One thing I sometimes do to clock up the NSDs is to think of ways to amalgamate spending. For example, if I need petrol, I will fill up the car the same day that I do a supermarket shop, and draw cash out of the cash machine for those odds and sods spends coming up e.g. Hairdresser, Ringtons Tea man, parking money etc. That way, all the money that is due to be spent over four or five days is taken out in one day, and that means three or four NSDs achieved. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Brilliant tips guys. Clocked up another NSD today making 4 (only joined on 21st May!) but I guess I'm cheating a little as have had a big infection which has knocked me for 6 which has meant I haven't been out to spend anything
Every cloud and all that!
It has actually been quite a good 'kick start' as it has meant I've really enjoyed the satisfaction at the end of a day without spending anything!SPC no. 462 TOTAL £48.11
SPC11 No.462 Target: £250
NSD May - Acheived: 7 NSDs (Started 21/05/17)
NSD June (Target 15/30) - Achieved: 14/15
NSD July (Target 18/31) - Achieved: 3/180 -

Thanks Marmite - hope you're well.
After 3 days antibiotics I'm picking up a bit but won't be venturing out - but do need some bits grabbing to top up my shopping (Though if I get someone else to bring me what I need then technically I haven't spent anything :rotfl:)
Looking forward to June's thread!SPC no. 462 TOTAL £48.11
