Offer to pay her rent until she is ready to Exchange. Put a 6 month cap on it, to give her an incentive, but if after 6 months she has still not found somewhere and exchanged, offer her another 6 months rent payments.
I am not following this. Are you suggesting she moves into rented and they move into her house without exchanging contracts or buying it?0 -
Hi
This is what we were thinking - however we would exchange so we could move in and she would move into somewhere rented whilst looking for a property to buy.
We were just wondering the lagalities and process of actually doing this, and whether it is a viable option
Thanks
You would exchange, or complete?
Either way it depends on her selling her house without having any idea where she is moving to so unless she needs to sell and will struggle to find another buyer it's not a sensible idea for her at all.0 -

Best sign off for the day I think.0 -
I got it G_M!
Yes, OP should just offer to subsidise the seller's life for a year or two as long as she agrees to sell her house to them.
OP...move on, withdraw your offer and find a home from a genuine seller.0 -
What is so special about this house that you want to pay the vendor money so you can buy it?
I am sure you can find another home that will take your fancy.0 -
However much you have invested in this sale I am pretty sure that it will be less then paying someone's rent until they find a property to buy if ever. I really don't know how you think you can force them to move out and rent. Why should they? They have a perfectly good house to live in now that they have just decided that they don't want to sell to you.0

delusion,
Why would they move into rented and move twice?
Also taking the risk you stop paying their rent.
offer them more than enough enough to get them to move.
OR
move into rented yourself and wait0
