But not listed in the T&C? (isn't that against the rules) ???Why apply for it if you don't intend to use it???
I'll use it, but not all the time.... maybe not in a year, but good to have an account with them.• HSBC (Main A/C)

I have several cards with nothing on them - its not difficult just to use them once a quarter just to keep them ''live'' just in case you need them.0

Whilst a dormancy fee may apply to existing cardholders, it clearly doesn't apply to new applicants because there is no mention of such a fee in the card's terms and conditions.
Exactly, so if they *enforce this on new account holders* wouldn't they breach the T&C? which could end them in some serious trouble?• HSBC (Main A/C)

Held mine for just over a year, hit the cashback, now cancelled and will apply again later this year as I believe you qualify for new offers after six months.0

As others have said , what is the point in applying for a cashback credit card if you have no intention of using it.0

I have the intention to use it... but there might be a time where i wont use it for a whole year...
just odd it's not listed in the T&C and they can enforce this and not get a major bollocken?• HSBC (Main A/C)

It is probably not in the new T&Cs because they will close yoir card before you hit 12 months of inactivity. A lot of companies going down this route recently to get rid of the cards in people's drawers!0
