I know this is not the correct thread for wills (there isn't one lol), i'm sure someone on here will know the answer though so here goes..
If you have less then 80k in total when you die (house/mortgage and tiny savings, life insurance payout etc), is there any point in making a will?
It will automaticly go to your spouse when you die right? anything over 250k would then get shared out with children? (i wish i would have anywhere near that lol).

Your last paragraph is correct.
However, you don't have to pay a solicitor to sort such a simple estate. You just need to write down your intentions and get witnesses to sign. (That was the case with my dad whose assets came to my sister and me.)0 -
There is a death, funerals and probates board, which is probably a better place to post as will-related matters are covered extensively there....I know this is not the correct thread for wills (there isn't one lol)0
