Morning all, been up since 5, have done some washing and a very minute amount of tidying. OH has climbed out of the window with the washing.

Friend will be here for a cup of tea and a catch up later, then I will be doing a Sunday dinnerm lamb etc.

Welcome proserpina and hello Nelski, sorry to read your news. The suggestion of individual meals for the freezer is a great one.

Hope everyone has as good a day as possible
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially Nelski and her Mum and Dad.

Brightish morning, no laundry, its all done, ironed and put away.

I watered the garden yesterday, its so dry the ground is cracking, I need to go up and tie in two clematis, they are waving around in the wind, I also have one to put in, will be doing the nappy trick shortly and mixing it with some compost.

OH is complaining, when is he not, he had to stop playing bowls yesterday, he could not stand on his left leg to bowl.......I suspect its a weakness from his very slight stroke 2 years ago, it affected his left side.

Roast pork steaks for supper, will do the veg shortly, so I just have to cook it later. Pulled more rhubarb, OH is taking some across for our neighbours, we have 5 crowns in the garden, they are going nuts. We have 3 months to go before I need to stop pulling it, although I have pulled it in August before.

Heating is off, have the back door open, nice breeze blowing through.

    Morning all,

Lovely bright day here with a towel load already on the line I have another load to go out and I have stripped the beds and they are in the wm, should all dry well today.

Welcome to the newbies and Nels welcome back and I am sorry to hear about your dear dad xx

Got some breaded chicken for dinner today with some hm chips and peas, I would love to have salad with it but it still upsets my tummy.

We went and did a bit of shopping yesterday and left Evie with my sister, sister lives really remotely and is run alive with rats, they asked if we could drop Evie off to see if she could get any (I told sis I didn't think she would but worth a try) Evie spent the whole time we were gone crying for our return :rotfl:We are going to have to go over again as I do think she would be a good ratter but only if her mummy stays with her :rotfl:Also Evie needs to get used to staying with other people (she is fine with FIL as she goes there while we are working)

Mortgage man coming Tuesday to see if he can get us a better deal and maybe see if we can borrow some more money to get bits and bobs done, we have done a lot in the house since we moved in but such a lot still needs doing and we keep saving and doing a room but its very slow, and its getting to the stage that the first room needs doing again now :o lets hope he can get us a good deal.

Right better get on have good days all xx

    Morning everyone :)

Nelski good to 'see' you posting again, I hope you're taking care of yourself too :)

Camelot I'm ok thank you...still muddling along trying to ignore my worries.

Yesterday did feel like a bit of a waste of a day as I was tired and the weather wasn't good so didn't do much at all really.

Lost my rag with the neighbours as their continual banging doors had me jumping out of my skin and I just couldn't relax. An on going problem but I lost it last night and started banging on the walls, then turned my TV up very loud and retreated to my bedroom and put my earplugs in :(

Woke up at 3am and the TV was still blaring so I switched it off and then stupidly started feeling guilty:o it's not in my nature to be noisy and deliberately disturb others but these neighbours just don't care. I wish they'd move.

No plans for today, got a wash on and just about to make another coffee.

Enjoy your Sunday and ((hugs)) to everyone who needs them :A x

Good afternoon everyone, thanks to Gers for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.

Apparently it's to be blazing sunshine here this afternoon but it looks as though no one has told the weather that as it's very windy and overcast!

I've had a leisurely morning and my son is busy cooking brunch which involves lorne sausage and stornoway black pudding :D. After that he's going to pressure wash my back garden (it's all slabs) to get rid of the weeds so I start to get it looking fab:). This evening we are heading to my sister's for dinner and no doubt she'll push the boat out so I'll be stuffed later and no doubt a few wines will be consumed....
Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Not posted for a long time but love this thread as I'm an old fashioned person! Nice bright day here I'm just pottering while Partner listens to football on the radio. I'm about to start knitting a cardigan for my Grandaughters birthday present, had better get a move on as it's next Sunday.Got a piece of gammon from the supermarket for lunch, it's covered in orange slices and an orange glaze, never tried it before so will be interesting, what we don't use today will be used up cold over the next few days, never any waste here except for time! We just don't believe that every minute of the day should be filled up, nice to enjoy a lazy day especially Sunday or bank holiday

    Afternoon all,
Hi All! Usually read but don't post. Thought I'd be much better to de-lurk and join in, hope that's OK.
Welcome Posperpina. Good to have you aboard.:T
Thought I would stop the lurking and start posting again
    Welcome back Nelski
Hester enjoy your time on the boat. I know your planning on retiring but is Capt Hot Stuff retiring too?

Karcher, good neighbours are worth their weight in gold. Fortunately i dont have a problem with mine though it hasnt always been that way. Thank goodness the Wife of my neighbour on the left did a moonlight flit taking most of the furniture, the horrible kids and the beast of a dog with her. She left my neighbour with hardly anything but he's happy now and made a new life for himself. I couldnt have better neighbours now i am glad to say.

Not sure what today will bring for me, hubby is painting fences, Youngest enjoying his day off. I dont have much to do myself so i might just catch up on some midweek TV and last nights Casualty.

Just a quick post to say I aiten't dead! :D
Having a rough time with my shoulder (similar problem to Tru) so been completely out of action for a couple of days.

Still, we had a lovely visit to the UK Wolf Conservation Trust on Wednesday; spent about 4 hours just watching their 10 resident wolves. :o I took silly amounts of photos; Mr LW was amazed that when I came to download them onto the flash drive, I was easily able to label them with the names of the wolves in each picture. :D
