Non-consented account

My wife and I have two joint accounts with Santander, who tell us that one is consented and one non-consented for CATO reporting. Both accounts appear in our CRA reports. Would a lender conducting a search be told of the existence of the non-consented account?

    An interesting topic.
You have in fact answered your own question as if both accounts appear on your credit reports then yes lenders will be aware of the existence of both of them.
With regard to CATO reporting. as the CATO figures don't appear on your credit reports then it is very difficult to know or find out what figure is being reported. If anybody has any ideas on how to find out .....
If you want CATO figures for the other account reported would suggest that you give any necessary consent.

I was thinking of the Experian CATO Warning Flag discussed at page 12 here. Would Experian caveat a warning with the existence of a non-consented account, or simply not give a warning as they can't access the full picture?
