Full rewire (excluding kitchen) quote

Hi,
I'm in the Plymouth area. I've now had three quotes for a full rewire of a 3 bed semi with concrete floors and walls on the ground floor.
As I plan to have the kitchen ripped out separately i decided late on to exclude the kitchen from the initial rewire, is this a good or bad idea?.
Anyway the attached quote is a revised quote, with £300 knocked off for excluding the kitchen. The price doesn't include making good to chases. Does it seem reasonable?
Thanks.https://www.dropbox.com/s/boul6vix10n5y2p/Rewire%20quote.pdf?dl=0

Seems fair but what are the other quotes saying?Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

One was £4200, which I take to mean they don't really want the work.
Another was £3,400.
Both of the above included the kitchen sockets, cooker and extractor hood points however.0 -
It doesn't men they don't want the work. It may mean they have a different operating cost. An electrical installation company that has premises and employs a secretary will have a higher price than a single self employed guy using the spare bedroom as an office.
I would be tempted to ask for references for all of them. What you want is someone that is going to turn up, will be with you until the do the work is complete, will come back if there is a problem , clears up after themselves etc. Price is only one aspect of the job.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Thanks for the comments.
I did some background research online and all three companies have good reviews.
Some don't lift carpets, move/cover furniture or remove rubble so all these things have to be considered too, as you say.
But all else being equal, value for money is important, especially when it's limited for most people.0 -

That seems a lot but I think it depends where you live. I had my 2 bedroom house retired and I paid I think it was £1700 if I remember right but that was everywhere in the house. They did it over a week if I remember right but they did a good job other than leaving the stuff for us to clear away like the wire rolls. But it was a big saving so I didn't mind. I got some competitive quotes from my builder tbh:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
