I got my notification by email yesterday so keep your eyes open if you want to leave them penalty free.As you have 30 days from them notifying you to do so.

It's been mentioned in the Broadband and phone section.0 -

Ofcom have confirmed that If you leave a phone company mid-contract due to a significant price rise within 30 days, you should not incur penalty charges – including pre-bought line rental."
See this article here where theguardian took the matter up with Ofcom and BT agreed to refund pre-bought line rental. So that applies to any pre-bought line rental and Plusnet are a BT Company.
