Thanks for the replies everyone - like i mentioned it wasnt the case of just 1k because when they declined the 219k offer they said "we have spoke to family and now wouldnt even accept 220k and we want closer to the asking price of 230k" so it was close to 8-10k more we needed.
It has only been up about a month n half too thats why they wanted to hold out - its a shame but we are in the best position due to been able to move to parents whilst finding right place.
Sounds like it is sold then from peoples comments about estate agents not putting STC to lure potential buyers in.0 -
We viewed a 3 bed room house on same estate and the woman selling the house told us they were looking to move to a bigger house on the same estate (and theres only 3 up for sale), there house sold on the monday and then this potential offer came in later that week so we suspect it was her and a real offer.0
