HSBC do have IFA access if you ask for it and you are on one of the service levels. However, their IFAs are saleforce with targets etc. I have seen the advice they have given a few times and it always seems to be the same which suggests its more panel based than whole of market.
Direct quote from website (if allowed!)
Our team of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) is one of the largest and most respected in the UK.
You will be assigned a dedicated IFA.
Whether it's retirement planning, stock market investments, property purchase to financing your children's education, your IFA can help put your plans in place.
Being independent, our IFAs consider all available financial products for you, not just our own.
They will be able to recommend some of the best fund managers in the UK and also give you access some of the best managers from around the world.
Advice is available on a fee or commission basis. Your IFA will discuss this with you.
Don't worry everyone, I'm not only seeing the bank
