I would wait until you can do it with your partner and you have at least a 10% deposit saved.
With prices stagnating you can afford to wait for your other half and you don't want to risk negative equity.
Really focus on cutting down your outgoings for the next 6-9 months and you will be in a better position come the new year.0 -

I agree 100% with Dave, why would anyone want a new build? They're soulless, flimsy, expensive houses. Surely you can do better with a smaller budget.
Many who were hoping to have their mortgages paid off by someone else are no doubt now scrambling about trying to find a buyer?0
