I bought a registration number some time ago, but for personal reasons would like to sell it on as it's not relevant anymore. It's on a Certificate of Entitlement and has never been allocated to a vehicle.
I've tried to look into this, but don't want to get it wrong. If I sell on the open market (eg ebay), would I be correct in saying that the buyer will be added to the certificate as the 'Nominee', and I can then allocate the plate to their car? Or would I add them, send them the certificate and they would assign to their car when ready?
Thanks!

Yes.
Stick it on gumtree and ebay and hope for the best.
Hard to sell though unless it has high demand and the price is right.
