As the header: I don't use gmail much as I also have an Outlook account, but there are times when gmail is useful. Every time I open Gmail, the Scam box is full of messages, all in a Scandinavian language and all obviously !!!!!!. I have never opened any of these, just deleted them. I don't have a clue why I should get them, in a language I do not understand. I have never visited a !!!!!! site, have no wish to do so, and I am quite PC-savvy.
I know that I can block each one individually, but how can I block loads in one go? I mean, loads: often 2 pages of this garbage. In Hotmail/Outlook it's easy to do, but I can't find the answer in Gmail.
Thanks for any help!

Never had tons of spam on any gmail account. A rare one slips through. I mark it as spam and it never gets received twice.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I wouldn't worry about it; Spam is automatically deleted after 30 days; don't look in Spam?
EDIT: you say you want to block it? you can mark inbox mail as spam and mark spam as "not spam"; you could delete all spam as it comes in... https://dottech.org/167593/how-to-automatically-delete-all-spam-messages-in-gmail-tip/0 -

Gmail already marks it as Spam. I would like to stop this happening, by being able to Block the lot in one action, which is the question I asked. Maybe I am being a little OCD, but there really is a lot of this stuff. If I can block it all, it will stop, period.
forgot my name: it does appear twice, many more times than that in fact!I think this job really needs

You could create a filter (if you can find the right criteria), but why bother. Google is far better at identifying spam than any filter you create. You will never be able to stop all spam. Just don't bother looking in the spam folder and stop worrying about it.0 -

If it is spam then it has done it's job, it is best you do not delete it but empty folder or set spam deletion to less than 30 days.
I use Google to clean email from my own domains and from other webmail, I then use Outlook PC client or another webmail to collect my email from that Google account, this prevents me seeing it because I hardly ever log into that account.
If it really bugs you that much go create a new email address or register a domain for $3 and use that for your new email, then everytime you give out an email give them a personal one at your domain. MSE@mydomain.com, BBC@mydomain.com. ebay17@mydomain.com, then if ebay gets hacked or shares your email, just change the ebay email to ebay17b@mydomain.com, then blackhole the ebay17@mydomain.com so it bounces.
Now stay away from those pawn sites! Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0
