Parking Eye Aldi Morecambe

Help!

I have read multiple threads and need some advice about the PCN I received for parking over the 1.5 hour limit in Morecambe. I received the notice stating I had overstayed my welcome by 37 minutes which is true, but I genuinely hadn't realised or read the parking signs as they were a: positioned at a height of about 7 feet and the terms and conditions are so illegible you cant read them even if you stand directly underneath the sign. The question I have is do I pay the £40 (reduced) or try and fight this? If a council runcar park I would have accepted the position "mia culpe" but on reading all these threads I am not sure I want to give in to these money grabbers.
