Bleeding Cat

Hello all,
Please help. I was stood outside in the back yard this morning and saw a white cat laid out near the car. His foot / leg / paw was bright red like it was bleeding. It was walking really slowly like he was in pain.
Anyway he climbed the wall and jumped off so I thought nothing of it.
I went to the shops exiting from my front door and saw loads of bloody prints in the front garden and down the street.
Something must have happened in the street as that's where the paw marks start.
Do I call the RSPCA? I don't know if it's someone's pet because there are heaps of cats roaming around here. Big ones and little ones.
Please help.

Have you tried following the tracks and looking for it?
RSPCA won't come out on such non-specific information. Does your town/area have a FB page where you could alert any possible owners or ask people to keep an eye out?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Thanks for replying.
I followed his prints but they only go a few metres and then stop. There are some prints the other direction which then stop too.
I'll look for a Facebook page. There was a big dead cat on the main road a few weeks back.
Normally if I go out I see two or three bouncing around. They can't all be someone's pets as they are all different. I'm not sure where they all came from though.0 -
I would knock on a few doors locally and describe the cat. Someone is bound to know who it belongs to.
Being injured it may hide (some cats do this) and the owner might be unaware that anything has happened to it. If you can find the owner they can be out looking for their cat or, if it has returned home, reassure you that the poor thing is OK and receiving treatment.
Hope you find the owner.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
I've knocked on some doors but no one knows anyone who owns any cats save a Hungarian family who have moved to the area. I knocked on their door but no one opened up. There were two cats in the bedroom window peering down at me.
I've not see the white cat with the bloody paw again. I hope it has gone home. I will keep an eye out tomorrow if I see it again. Poor thing. It's paw looked very bloodied and the paw prints were very bloody. It must have lost loads of blood.0 -
Post on your local FB groups with exact location.

Poor poor kitty...
Do contact Cats Protection rather than RSPCA - perhaps they can help
But if you do see him/er again, please try to get to the vets where they can scan for a microchip1 -
Thanks for that information. I've not seen white cat today. I saw it with a grey one yesterday. The grey one was prowling around but no sign of the white one. I will believe it has gone home and is being looked after now.
Sorry, this is going to sound a bit random, I've never had pets, so if I see the white one again and went near it, will it bite me or leap at me? If I could grab it, then I could have a good look on it or take it to the vets or would that be unsafe of me to do?0 -

If you're going to take a cat to the vet, you're almost certainly going to need something to transport it in. Again, some cats will happily wander into a cat basket, others will fight you to the death to avoid it.
Personally, I'd team up with a cat loving friend if I ever felt the need to take a strange / stray cat to the vet. And I'd only do so if there was some compelling reason to do so - obvious neglect or injury and unable to find the owner despite asking around all the neighbours and looking / posting on Facebook.Signature removed for peace of mind0
