Switch with supplier or MSE

I'm not sure sure you get the cashback as you are already with them.
I don't bother with the cashback in this case.
I can just ring them up usually (npower) and be on a new tariff by midnight if I so wish.
or as prices are rising some date in the future.0 -
I switched twice via price comparison sites to my current supplier to get the cashback offered for a new fixed term deal and never had an issue with either my supplier or the cashback.
So easy money for a few minutes work.
If you are in a fixed term deal just make sure your supplier allows you to switch between fixed deals without paying early termination fees. Some do and some don't.0 -
I am thinking of switching tariffs with my current supplier, which I can easily do on their website, however I could switch using MSE and get £30, are there any problems in doing this, or is it not worth the hassle for £30?
Why wouldn't you take the £30 possible cashback it its available to you?
What hassle do you forsee?
You need to give the same info, whether its direct to the supplier or to the comparison site.
If you've already signed up to the CEC then you have probably already given most of the info they will require. (they will need your bank details if paying by DD)0 -
It took me quite a while to get my current supplier to address all correspondence to both me and my wife. There is no option on the MSE site to insert more than one name, so I think I would need to begin again to get my supplier to alter it again after the switch.0
