Fridge door loose

Hi
I have a Whirlpool integrated fridge freezer and the fridge door has dropped so much that I have to raise it to close it. I can unloosen the screws to the wooden door but how do I raise the door thats attached to the actual fridge itself?
Is this something I can do without buying a new fridge as it gets left open and the food spoils.
Please help,
Sam

the door has 2 hinge plate that are adjustable.
the main one is the bottom one. you will prob have to empty the fridge and lay it down to remove the door to access/adjust the hinge plates. in severe cases you can install small washer/s onto the bottom hinge pin to raise the door.
also make sure the fridge is level in normal usage, as this can have a drastic effect on the door fitting.Get some gorm.0 -
What part of the door is attached to the fridge? I ask this because on mine the cupboard panel door is attached the fridge itself - the fridge door is attached to the panel. It has dropped in the past through sheer weight inside the door (but then it is 12 years old now) and it's just been a case of tightening the screws - but this involves taking the fridge door off the panel first to access the fittings.0

Hi
I tightened the upper screws as I thought that was why the door was lower, you could see when you closed the door a large gap at the top of the door casing and the casing side. Then after several attempts, the fridge door was still lower than the fridge itself and would not shut.
Then, I thought to myself, lets check the bottom screws are in completely and then I closed the door and that did the trick!! Over the last few years, with use, the bottom screws had come undone!
Thanks both for your help,
Sam :beer:0
