E: 07/05 Win a £125 Darkroom Photography Workshop, Saltburn
reg/login with Living North
Keith Moss’s one-day darkroom photography workshop will help provide a good grounding from which you can enhance your photographic skills. The workshop, which runs from 10am–4pm, starts with seaside photography at Saltburn where you’ll shoot a roll of Ilford black and white film. You’ll be able to learn how to get the right exposure using a handheld light meter, giving you the perfect collection of photos to process in the darkroom. Keith’s a professional fashion and commercial photographer with more than 30 years’ experience, meaning you’ll glean decades of expertise.
After lunch you’ll work through the processing steps that result in perfect photographs, playing with different chemistry timings and temperatures to produce processed film and a contact sheet. It’s an immersive experience that’ll leave you fully au fait with how to produce photographs the traditional way, rather than on a point-and-shoot digital camera.
Prize subject to availability, and requires pre-booking.
