Honeymoon Destination Ideas

I'm getting married on the 7th October this year and we still haven't booked our honeymoon!
I do have quite good reason.. I'm due to start a job and worried that I wont be able to take any holidays. In fact, I'm quite worried as a whole that I may not even be able to get married due to the intense training the job requires and the fact it states before applying that you will not be able to miss a day of training if you are successful.
Anyway, can anybody recommend some places in Europe that are great for honeymoons? (Hotels included). I have two children who will be staying with my parents whilst we go, and they can only have them for a week so I don't want to go somewhere that will take forever to get to!
Thanks

Elounda and nearby on Crete has some lovely hotels and it may still be reasonably warm.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Great for honeymoons is a bit vague.
What type of destinations do you like?0 -
We spent time in Ireland and it was perfect, but it depends what you want. Do you want a city break? Lying around beside the pool at a resort? Out in the countryside? Do you want to drive? What kind of weather?0

When do you want to take your honeymoon? We delayed ours for several weeks.0

We had a 'minimoon' right after our wedding in the UK (Peckforton Castle) and then had our honeymoon for our 1st anniversary. Two days of being buried in a hotel before going back to real life was great - that might be more suitable for you given the job situation?0

My brother didn't have his honeymoon until 6 months after the wedding.

3 nights in Skipton was all we could afford in the scorching hot summer of 1976.0

Thank you for all of your replies! I know the title was a bit vague, we're wanting sun, sea and sand.
I think holding it off until I know exactly what's happening with the job situation is probably the best bet.
I suppose then we'll have more money to go somewhere a bit more extravagant, and with it being October I'm guessing there's only a select few destinations that will still be warm.0
