2nd hand car problems

I've done lots of research and sort lots of advise but I can't seem to get a definitive answer on this issue if any one can please help?
Long story short - I bought a car 2 months ago then broke down, I was recovered to a local garage who did I diagnostics but couldn't connect to the car, so this garage then recovered the car onto an Auto electrician who told me the ECU had blown. They repaired the car at a cost of £500 after numerous exchanges with the car dealer they agreed to pay the bill very reluctantly, however I then got the bill from the original garage for £100 for the recovery and diagnostics which the car dealer is now refusing to pay. My view is that this a consequential loss suffered as a result of the blown ECU so the dealer should foot the entire bill. I am prepared to push them all the way to a small claims court out of principle. Question is should they pay this extra £100?

Depends under what circumstances they agreed to pay the bill, if they admit that it was a result of their negligence then yes they should pay the full bill, if they were doing it to be a good sport then its up to them what they give you.0

Did you give them a chance to do the diagnostics themselves first or even let them know there was a problem or did you go straight to your own garage?0

They offered me £100, saying a good will gesture, then £200 etc until I threatened consumer rights act 2015, so they then paid the bill. They never said if it was good will or not just said the bill was paid, hence why I assume they have accepted liability.0

I live 100 mile from were I bought the car, so I offered to get the car back to them but they would have to pay the extra recovery costs. so they told me to leave it were it was0
