To pay or not to pay....

hi,
looking for some helpful advice..I have received a parking fine from Euro car parks for £70 (£40 if I pay within 14 days) I was parked in a local park which had a payment meter but I forgot to pay, which is completely my own fault, I know this and do not need anyone to point it out.
Reading online and martins parking tickets post is confusing me, do I have to pay this? Or is it an invoice? Loads of posts say don't pay and they go away eventually, but it was my fault I didn't pay the £2.50 parking charge.

Ignore Martins "Guide" - it is hopelessly out of date and ignoring stopped being a viable option for many PPCs in England and Wales back in 2012.
Get stuck-in to the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum - it is up to date and the best resource/guide on strategies and process for seeing this-off.0 -
Thanks, so shall I just pay it?0

No - read the Sticky!
ECP are pretty straightforward to deal with - you have not been fined!0 -
Reading online and martins parking tickets post is confusing me,
Not surprised and the template appeal MSE have in the article is terrible and doomed to fail.
But ours isn't!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
