Easy to use S&S ISA platform for my mum
Comments

Can someone recommend a platform that is easy to use? She will be investing in low cost index linked funds (global, S&P 500 etc) and government bonds.
If she is inexperienced, why are you complicating it with single sector funds that need ongoing management? Why not stick to a multi-asset fund?
Does she need a platform?
Is she good with computers? (i.e. if she goes with a platform, then some platforms are easier to use than others)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I think I've finally convinced my mum to invest in a Stocks and Shares ISA.
Hmmmm. I wonder if this is a sign I should sell up and go into gold 100% ?
What is her work and pension position ? Is she a high rate tax payer?
At her age adding more into a pension is likely to provide the best return because if the tax benefits and because the money isn't locked away.0
