Texaco Star Rewards rip off
I have Texaco garage at the bottom of my road where I have lived for over 6 years. I have used them regularly for most of that time and I estimate my total spend with them is in the region of £10-15,000. I have found out today that they closed my account due to it being inactive for a period of over 12 months. I know that there is absolutely 0% chance that I have gone that long without using the reward card when buying fuel.
They "give" 1p per litre of fuel so I should have at least £100 worth of points. Following my asking them what is happening they have said they had closed my account for inactivity but can see it has been used so they have given me the points they can see which total less than £10 worth of rewards. So the way I see it they have stolen an estimated £90+ worth of points.
This is absolutely disgusting. Does anyone know if I can take action against them, at the very least I want to make as many people as possible know about their ripping people off.

So you lost one years worth of points, so you're estimating £90 in a year @ 1p per litre = 2,000 gallons on fuel?
What do you drive, a Space Shuttle?0 -
Read the 3point type T&Cs.
I bet the points expire if you don't use them in a certain time, like the points I get on my Barclay card. I never get anything because I can't build up enough points to cash in as the old ones keep dropping away as fast as I add new ones.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

The terms and conditions are quite clear, so have a read through and make sure you've been complying with them. They mention mailings and the note of points balances on receipts. Did you not notice your balance was zero on any of your recent receipts?0
