PCN from Excel Parking Peel Centre Stockport

I visit the Peel Centre Stockport regularly several times a week and always pay my ticket and never overstay.
Received a PCN the other day and couldn't understand why.
Managed to find the ticket (in the bin) for the date and time I was there, but noticed the ticket did not display the car registration number. Must have been on auto pilot that day as I only stayed a half hour so did not overstay.
I have read some posts on here about mis-spelling the reg but unsure what to do.
Do I pay up or is it worth going through the appeal process?

appeal as keeper and add a copy or picture of the paid for ticket
do not reveal who was driving
their machines are forever going faulty, so ring the 2 site people and ask them to cancel the charge , there may be details on here or on pranksters blogsite0
