Or just accept that smarter investors than you have probably already priced in these opportunities and just buy a global equity fund of some description, and drip in a few hundred or whatever a month?

i already have bought - made 30% return last year. i now drip feed on a regular basis.

Don't take his comment to heart, we can't all be as astute and successful as Crashy is, when it comes to investing.

I definitely do not drip feed, I prefer to select my time during dips (minor or otherwise), I don't care if someone could prove that is not the best way, am I not allowed to have a bit of fun?

The last big 'timing' I did was when the ftse went a fair bit below 6,000 in the winter of 2016, I put every spare bit of cash in.
