Inr

Won an item in an auction last Friday and paid immediately by PayPal.

Estimated delivery was today at the latest, but the item still has not been marked as dispatched by the seller. Have messaged them on Tuesday to ask if it's been sent, again yesterday as I received no reply and sent them a message this morning as the postman has been with nothing.

Been polite and only asked for updates as I wanted the item for this weekend, but I get the feeling they haven't sent it as it didn't meet the price they wanted. They are also selling multiples of the same item on BIN for three times the price, but my thought is if they didn't want to sell it cheap then don't start it on an auction with a £5 start price.

Am I right in thinking I can open a case tomorrow as the last date for delivery was today? It wouldn't bother me not getting it yet but the lack of response to my messages is what is frustrating, just an update would be good. So now I have no item and will have to wait for a refund to buy another from sonewhere else, meaning I can't use it for what I wanted on Saturday

  • Well you could just suck it up and open the case tomorrow as stated or just keep pushing for an answer. If they are a regular seller, you'll see other account activity such as, if they relisted the auction for the same item again.

They have got 4 of the same item for sale for £30 each, but I got mine for £11 plus p+p in the auction. The only have 4 other things for sale at the mo. Will open a case tomorrow and see if that prompts them to doing anything.

Just frustrating more than anything, especially as I could've bought an alternative item and had it for Saturday but went with this one instead.

Open a case as soon as you can. If they haven't responded by now they won't. It sounds like the auction hasn't gone as planned and the item is going to be lost in the post.

That was my thought, however I had a reply about half hour ago saying their systems had gone down and any auctions had not gone to their packing dept. or any messages gone through.

They apologised profusely and have upgraded the post to first class so hopefully I get it tomorrow, which is the latest I wanted it for as I needed it for early Saturday morning.

Whether this happens is another story but at least they have responded. I shall be waiting for the postman with baited breath :)

Item arrived today so very pleased!
Just waiting on another inr at the mo but the seller will be contacting the royal mail fraud department apparently. Its only a £5 item but the tones of their emails are very defensive. Estimated delivery of last weds but happy to give it another couple of days. Annoying though.
