How long's a piece of string as they say. It could be weeks or even months. It depends on the back log in your area.

I am extremely surprised that the DWP are issuing letters of that nature. It has been the norm to my knowledge, that those without telephone access or those that refuse to entertain texts , would only get two letters, the first giving the appointment for a face to face assessment and secondly a letter confirming the decision that has been made.

Maybe this is the start of the new caring DWP - keeping everyone in the loop?

Here in Kent, from when the 'offer' letter drops on your doormat telling you to contact them to start off the DLA to PIP process to when you have the face to face assessment it is currently running at 20 weeks.
Likewise from when they receive your PIP2 to the date of the assessment is currently 15 weeks.
