Pre approved Marbles Card

Did the eligibility checker on the Marbles Web Site and was pre approved for a card with the offer open for 24 hrs.
I decided to then apply for the card understanding that ID and Fraud Checks would be done which I know are all ok.
My application was then declined so what's the point of it all. If I had even had a 95% chance of getting the card I would not have applied but thought that because it was pre approved after the soft search it was going to be ok.
I now have a hard search on my credit file which they are removing as a good will gesture!
They said that I did not read their T&C's but having read them again I can find nothing on pre approval only if you are likely to get a card so a percentage.

Having looked at the terms I can see why you think you were misled

"Even if we indicate that you are likely to be accepted for a marbles Card this is no guarantee of acceptance and NewDay is not bound by any indication that it communicates to you. By clicking “Check Eligibility” on our site, you are not committing to make an application for a marbles Card. If you choose to proceed to make an application then NewDay will carry out its own identification and credit application checks in accordance with its own criteria."

As you can see pre approval or any percentage they link in with general acceptance.

It is what it is, you've done well to get the hard search removed.

' Likely to be accepted ' is not the same as pre approved to me. I find the whole thing misleading but I'm on my own here it seems
