CPM Ltd fine

Hi All

Today, CPM person posted a note to pay Parking fine on my car. I saw him doing it and shown the ticket which was valid for that time period.
Unfortunately, when I was leaving the car the ticket would have flown upside down. Hence, Ticket checker was not able to see it.
But when we park the car it asked for last three digit of my Car. Hence, they should have it in System. Moreover, the ticket shows the last three digit too.
I wrote to them instantly today and will wait for their reply. I have seen on their website they mentioned:

Common reasons why appeals are unlikely to be successful:

Your ticket/permit fell down/was blown off the dashboard/on the seat etc
Your ticket/permit was not displayed clearly, face up, on the dashboard of your vehicle
You forgot to display your ticket/permit
You were only a few minutes overdue
You only stopped for a few minutes

So, not sure what they are going to say. Though, ticket Checker posted his comment during when I spoke to him. Also, checked with their customer care today and they confirm the comments are there but I still need to appeal.

What do you think they will say?

Thanks
Kamal Gulati

wait for the postal NTK and then appeal it according to the NEWBIES sticky thread

doesnt matter what they will say, because this is a sc@m to extort large sums of money from unsuspecting drivers or keepers or car owners , making them squirm for up to 6 years with threats of court

in other words , whatever happens they will reject your "story" and will inflate the charge to as high as they can

    ps:- UKCPM cannot "fine" anybody

they have issued a parking charge notice to a vehicle , this is merely an invoice

no private parking company can issue fines in the UK, not possible
  • Oh, I have already appealed and now it seems they will have my information to bug me.

Not sure what should I do now to save myself from there torture

Did you appeal as driver or as keeper? (Hopefully it was the latter.)

Please confirm the name of the parking company, not just initials.

There is nothing you can do now until you get the inevitable rejection. What happened when you complained to the landowner/retailer?

It's also not a good idea to use your real name (if that is what you have done here) as your username. Parking companies monitor this website.

  • I did not tell that i was driver or registered keepers.
  • Anyway, I think have followed the route which genuine citizen follows.

I have paid correct parking ticket and shown it to Ticket Checker who updated the file in their System.

Moreover, their Pay & display machine takes Car reg last three digits. So, it is being paid.

They should have correct technology to check it. Also, if they are not going to cancel the charge then will have to lodge a case against them.

I am a Solicitor by profession. So, know where to lodge everything. Specially, their Executive & ticket checker says they should cancel it once you provide them correct proof.

No, you ignore them. As per the advice on every single IPC thread. You've appealed, so stop trying to appeal again and certainly don't ring a parking firm, thinking they have a customer service section. Of course they don't.

If you are a solicitor you can put your defence to a Judge if this parking firm try a claim. Sounds defendable. Keep the ticket and a screenshot of the webpage if you are saying it gives the statement of the parking 'attendant' which admits you showed him the paid-for ticket on the spot.
checked with their customer care today
No you didn't, there is no such thing in this industry who have been observed to include greedy sociopaths and ex-clampers (which is now a criminal offence, that's the level of these firms).

Parking firms don't have any customer care department. You are not their 'customer' and they don't care.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
