i need to sell a 17" spare wheel and jack & spanner.
What is cheapest way I can send this via courier? (Was just intending to wrap in back plastic bags).
I don't know the exact weight too, but guess its more than 20kg.
advice welcome
thanks

Do you live at the top of a really big hill and the buyer is at the bottom?

I've done this with tyres but wouldn't recommend with a wheel and associated tools - can't imagine they'd accept itwhats the best weigh to weigh a 17" wheel?

Depending on the distance, a pallet may be a better idea. You just need to make sure they are secured to the pallet. There are plenty of companies that will do it for you, some will even supply the pallet. We use https://www.sendapallet.co.uk They are also less bothered about weight and more about how much of the pallet they take up.0

Hermes you are not allowed to post car parts. Check T&C's of other providers just in case if they are the same.
Normally for real heavy items either UPS or Parcelforce via the Interparcel website.0 -

Don't just wrap in black plastic bags whatever you do! Make sure it is boxed up as most carriers wont touch it and then make sure nothing is moving in the box - pack it in with cardboard/newspapers/old pillows etc. Couriers will refuse to take them if wrapped in black plastic bags only - this is a sure fire way to start a chain of issues and big headache!
To send two 18" alloy wheels comes in at about £20 via Interparcel (Google them) - just selling some on eBay at the moment - weighed them on the bathroom scales then got a quote so I would expect this would be similar - the wheels dont include tyres, just the rims. hope this helpsSave
