Vendors solicitor ignoring requests for 'extras' breakdown

Vendor being a developer. I asked at the time of completion for a breakdown of the extras which never materialised and I've been chasing it ever since.

Think my own solicitor isn't exactly 'on it'.

What can I do. Is contacting the Law Society a bit dramatic :D

If you've completed it's either in the agreement or it isn't.

If not, i can't see you getting any additional extras.

If you agreed to pay them in your contract then it's a bit late to demand a breakdown. Who would you be complaining to the Law Society about, and why?

These should be set out in your reservation.

Are these incentives, or are they extras for which you have made/will make a payment?

They were extras added along the way.
I asked for a breakdown at completion it didn't come but the deadline for signing did.

For example I had a dispute over a bathroom cabinet (long and boring) apparently a cabinet wasn't specified it was a mirror but apparently I chose a cabinet and paid £250 extra and above the allotted budget which I'm due to be refunded.

Thing is, I DID NOT choose a cabinet and was not aware that £250 had been added to the bill. So now I want to see what is actually on the extras added to the selling price.

Edited: They were clear that changes could be made because I signed up before anything was done. So things like adding a chimney breast they could do but never said it would cost me. Other things like an extra room next to the garage I got a quote for. So of smaller items I don't really know what constituted an 'extra'.

Might sound a bit dim but I've never bought a house on my own before and will NEVER buy off plan again.

Yes I'm being refunded but that's like trying to get blood from a stone too.

    It's been a nightmare

You can't complain about someone else's solicitor for something like this. Only about your own solicitor.

I have only use a solicitor once and usually you ask for a breakdown at the start so you can cross check items before things are done. A breakdown at completion is going to achieve what?
You have completed, signed, done and dusted, even if the itemised list is not of your likes can't undo much?

So why did you sign without this information in writing?

    You have this in writing?

    In the paperwork YOU signed?

Yes of course you are all right.

Re the bath cabinet, I'd moved in and the thing still wasn't up so I got into dispute. It was only then that they told me I'd paid extra for a cabinet. I thought it was a cabinet all along but no apparently an illuminated mirror. I have this conversation in text messages, likewise promises to refund in emails and texts. He owes for other stuff too.

When I was told the completion date I said to my solicitor the two parties usually agree on a mutually convenient date. She responded that it wasn't like that for new builds, they give you the date. She told me if I didn't sign on the date they'd set I'd be in breach of contract.

I tried to find out for ages whether the barns were Grade II listed (the farmhouse opposite is but it was vague on the barns). A simple request you might think. Their solicitor got shirty and said they hadn't had this problem from the other buyers :/ and if I didn't exchange they were going to remarket the property. I never did get an asnwer but one of my neighbours did - 6 months after moving in. It's not listed.

That one takes about ten seconds to answer for yourself.

I did look at that as did my solicitor but because the developer needed listed buildings consent it was ambiguous. My solicitor rang theirs for clarification but could not get it.

Although the barns are not listed we still need planning permissions for fences, porches and the like.
