Car insurance renewal - new car

Hi,
Just after a bit of advice/opinions on the following...
Went out and bought a car which is ready to be collected next week and will be trading in my old car.
My insurance renewal is from the following week.
I think I'll be charged a fee to change the vehicle so what's best to do in this situation -
Cancel insurance on the date collecting the new car and taking out a new policy with whoever is cheapest on comparison sites meaning I lose out on a years no claims (have 11 - most only count up to 9 don't they)?
Thanks

Losing ncd is irrelevant with the 11 years you will be left with if you cancel.
Find out which option is the cheapest (cancellation or change of vehicle) and choose the cheapest.

Delay the purchase/collection until the policy expires? Or just call and ask them how much to switch. My insurer only charge £15 admin so not too bad.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
