Fixed term to permanent interview

Restless and Sangie using the same avatar - very confusing, what were the chances for that?

Restless - you are saying 12 people are affected. Do you know how many jobs will be advertised? Will there be any job matching done or do you all have to really apply for those jobs? Are the ones going to be advertised exactly like the ones you do now?

All 12 jobs are going to be advertised on a permanent contract - they were all previously fixed term
Every member of staff has been told they must re apply
The actual jobs will remain exactly the same with continuing client caseload, same multi disciplinary team etc

The only thing that might be different is the actual employee - just doesn't seem fair

I had to reapply for my own job while working in the NHS and I was permanent. Few years ago now.

That was due to them rebanding jobs and a merge with another Trust.
Had an interview too - for a job I was doing for 10 years.

Was also told that I was lucky to get it as the new JD written for lower banding did not quite match my old JD. Hilarious and pointless.

Bands went down from 7 to 6, job was still the same, I left but people that did stay were rebanded to 5 later on.

Not good at all.

No idea what does it look like when you are on fixed term but you have been there for 3.5 years so... What does the Union say about that?

Check the policies. Restructuring and redeployment may trump external.
