Removing paint stains & dried cement from paving slabs

If it helps i can get pictures but should be easy enough to imagine
The paint that has dried on is water based. Some cheapy B&Q stuff & also some Cuprinol Ducks Back. A power wash only gets off so much but still leaves some.
I googled for it & it mentioned patio cleaners. Well with a wide range of products & prices i don't really fancy going through a load of them testing out what works well & what doesn't, so can anyone reading this mention a product they used which worked well or not at all, be it for paint, cement or both?
Thanks.

I've lightly sanded my paving when I've spilled stain on them - may not work for cement though0
