I was making a point that he is taking a very large position in this one company, .......
I was making the point that Woodford is buying, and selling, shares in lots of companies. To look at one transaction in isolation is not really telling us much, and to act on one of his transactions in isolation can be positively dangerous.

Very surprised in some of the responses here as people here are usually better informed. Based on my memory from when I did own shares in them Stobart only own 50% of the fleet of lorries that is their main Public presence. They own a couple of Alternative Electricity Power Stations (biomass) and I believe the land the wood is produced on. They run two airports Southend and a freight only operation just outside London. This may have changed as I have not kept up with the company since I sold my shares.

If you go back to post 4 you'll see that the reason for OP's post is that he was actually talking about the recent IPO of Eddie Stobart the logistics/trucking business which was, as you say, 50% owned by Stobart group (which has its fingers in a few broader pies, but the Stobart group is not what he was thinking of buying into.)
  • Thanks for clearing that up. Had another look at Stobart Group financial figures and couldn't see what could have been attractive to Woodford.

Think OP could have been clearer although the reference to AIM did confuse me.
