My tenants wish to give me their notice in writing(spt):-
As the rent date has changed from the middle of the month to the end of the month.
Is it the day before the original rent due date or the day before the new rent due date?

Your signature is pretty emphatic that you are a Landlord, so you should know this stuff and not need to ask on here. I'd suggest that you search G_M's posts until you find one that contains a link to the relevant information, and then remember it for the future.0

* Ending/renewing an AST: what happens when a fixed term ends? How can a LL or tenant end a tenancy? What is a periodic tenancy?0 -

Of course, as the LL you could always agree to a notice period which is mutually convenient, even if it doesn't align with a tenancy period. Do you really care if your changeover period is on, say, the 11th of the month vs the 23rd?0
