Avoid Benson for Beds

This company is is terrible and I regret my purchase.
The base of my bed was damaged, the delivery men would have noticed it but ignored it.
I have since Oct 16 have been trying to get this replaced.
Calling Customer Services (CS) is a joke with waiting times over 20 minutes and it doesn't matter what time you call, they are always experiencing high level of calls.
I last spoke to CS on the 27th Feb 17 who assured me that an urgent replacement will be arranged - 4 weeks.
Having chased Benson Beds again, the telephone call of the 27th Feb had not been logged and so according to the lady on the phone the last contact she had with me was in Dec 16.
I requested details for the complaints department, only to be told that the lady I'm speaking with is the contact!!! who no longer wanted to deal with me since my annoyance must have come through in my tone.
I refuse to call CS due to its long waiting time and always email.
Shocking, that customers are treated like this. I guess it doesn't matter now that the good are paid for!:mad:

Yep, one of the worst firms to buy things from. I don't know how they stay in business. We've bought a few things over the years, every time we tell ourselves we should have known better, but then a few years pass and we do it again, only to be stuffed again! What with delivery dates missed (salesman changed delivery date on the system after we left but didn't bother telling us, so our paperwork showed one date, their system showed another!) Faulty/damaged goods delivered, but the best was when we order 3 matching pieces of pine bedroom furniture - two were pine, the other was magnolia - the idiotic salesman had put in the wrong code, and then they initially refused to change it saying it was our fault we ordered the wrong thing, and then tried to charge us delivery again to send out the right piece and a collection charge to take away the wrong one (the charge being their charge for removing the old furniture). Complete muppets at both store and head office level.0

Touch wood Ive not had an issue with Benson for Beds.0

Bensons have such awful customer service that when I rang them trying to GIVE them money - they wouldn't help me! (my purchase hadn't gone through yet, and never did because when I rang them with an issue with ^their^ site they refused to be any help whatsoever!)0

We bought once from them and I was really worried after reading all the online reviews. Happily they delivered exactly what was asked, on the expected day, and it's been fine for 5 years...0
