Court Appearence

Okay, so I was weighed down with life admin last week and couldn't get the time off work... My CA was Friday 21st at 10:00 ante meridian and I couldn't attend.
I neglected to let the court know, I'm fearing what's next. But what happens if Gladstone's didn't turn up as well?
Am I looking at 20 to life??:rotfl:
It says they had t pay an admin charge of £50 by 28 feb, not sure if they did...

Phone the court and ask them what happened.0

It's unlikely that Gladrags didn't send a representative. Therefore it is highly likely that you've received a default judgment against you. (Should be advised by post?). As above, call the court to check.
If you pay the judgment within the prescribed time then you won't get a CCJ registered.
Your chances of getting a set-aside are minuscule, so you'd be best just paying it to avoid getting credit-clamped. If you don't and let "life admin" get in the way again then you're a fool.0 -

What happens if neither of us turn up?0

Unless the judge was particularly quiet and wanted to spend a lot of time on it, the chances are you lost.
So you'll find out the damage in 14 days. Likely to be Parking Charge + court fees. So about £200.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Previously unusual for these chaps to go to court ...however in Q1 of 2017 alone they have already gone to court more than 5 times the number of times they did in the entirety of 2016.

Numbers are what you want to make them
Compare "5 times" with "52 / 19133" or .27%This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
