    Morning all,

I managed Ly1as walk without it raining until a few yards from home then it really came down but its stopped again now, even some blue sky but the clouds are moving very fast and a chilly wind.

Jackie glad you are enjoying the North,Bury is the next town to us but its not often we get to the market. We have a friend who works there on a meat & fish stall, when we saw her just before Easter she said if we went she'd sort a good deal out for us so might visit soon.

I finished sewing a top over the weekend but the cut is a lot looser than it looked on the pattern photo so I think I'll redo the sides.DGD (5 going on 15!) gave her approval.
My main task today is tidying upstairs and emptying a vintage wardrobe we have on the landing. Its not very deep so the hanging space is limited so sadly we have decided to get rid and fill the alcove in completely, which will give us far more badly needed storage.

I am starting back on the sugarfree regime today.Easter chocolate has a lot to answer for,it started me on the path of cake, puds etc, deffo very addictive stuff  No doubt I'll have a few days of cravings but hope I can resist as I have put a few pounds on.

Karcher sorry you are feeling down.

Right better get a move on.have a good day xx

    Hello all,
I didn't get on yesterday as wasn't well at all. Had a lovely afternoon tea on Saturday then went to a bar and unfortunately got very drunk and emotional with my friends. Had to be brought back in a taxi with a friend as I was in no fit state to walk. Terrible behaviour and I spent yesterday in my pjs.
Back to work today and still feeling really tired. DH starts at new job today, so just waiting for him to call as promised at lunchtime. DS2 is cooking dinner tonight yay. DS1 has missed college as no one there to wake him grrrr.
karcher - hope you are feeling brighter today x
Jackie - enjoy the Lowry x
tiredmum - that's really scary for your son x What is it with people going into clubs and spraying stuff - seems to be on the increase.
Speky - hope your leg heals quickly x
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Coxy, bets wishes for your DH.

Tiredmum, how worrying, especially given what happened last week.

we had another delicious veggie meal last night - Sweet leek and butternut squash hash with eggs baked in it. I found out that I'm a flexitarian - someone who is eating more veggie style but dipping in and out of other things.

DD got back from Portugal yesterday afternoon and is already on her way to Texas now!

I went over to the Liberty fabric factory shop this morning but was told that they won't have much more fabric as the manufacturing is going over to Italy, very sad.

Honestly think I'm made of chocolate.
That's a very dangerous admission to make to some of the ladies on this thread! :rotfl:
Seriously though, I hope your leg is feeling better, and no permanent damage.

Tiredmum  OMG how awful for your DS. I hope he's ok.

Dumpling you're a braver lady than I - a gathering of 23 people would have me [STRIKE]running[/STRIKE] hobbling for the hills!

OK, I must get moving; the freezer isn't going to defrost itself! :D

Afternoon - boy, it's cold! Sun is still shining but that wind is very nippy. We had a very small flurry of sleet for about five minutes, apart from that it's been clear.

My friends abandoned the idea of going to Arran as Brodick Castle is closed until next year for renovation. They're now in Oban. Meanwhile the woodburner in their holiday cottage has been condemned by the chimney sweep so a couple of electric heaters are being brought in.

I was in the garden for a while pottering around tending to the rose etc when I tripped over my own feet and planted my face in the ground. Because of my very dodgy right knee and sore back I find it really difficult to get up from the floor / ground so I lay there for a little while thinking about it and then got myself up, slowly and painfully. I'm fine, just mucky!

    Hi all
Had a rubbish nights sleep. Went to bed early and slept heavily for 3 hrs, then spent the next 4 trotting back and fore the loo. ( should not have had that last cup of tea ! )
Went to an outlet shopping centre this morning for some stuff for DH and I managed to bag a pair of trousers for myself for the princely sum of £5. :D
Made myself do some ironing this afternoon :( and put the recycling out.
Tomorrow I am going to DD's to look after DGD as she is still spotty and can't go back to school yet.
Tea tonight will be leftover roast pork and chips.
Tiredmum I hope your DS is ok
Dumpling I hope your DD's feel better.
Specky hope your leg is not too bad and you haven't melted:rotfl:
Karcher sending you good vibes and that you feel a little better.
To all those who went back to work today I hope it went well.
    Gers Glad you're ok.

Hi chums ,had a great day out at Salford Quays and the Lowry was fantastic I wanted to bring them home with me :), but settled for a nice print instead :) fed our faces at the Harvester in the outlet with superb fish 'n' chips as an eating out treat and we are so full its been a snack sandwich tonight :) Tomorrow we are going to Quarry Bank Mill and Dunham Massey if we have time . Wednesday we shall be driving over to Tottington for a brew with my nephew who is a vicar there ,then afterwards going to Marple to meet up with the DD of my late OHs oldest friend who has lived up here since the 1980s I haven't seen her for 25 years so we will have lots to catch up on.She used to babysit my children when they were young.

I am having such a good holiday and its going far too fast . People are so friendly and helpful and seem to smile a lot more :)

Hope you all are enjoying your day, the sun has just come out, and it looks like a nice evening.

    Cheers chums

This is a picture of the rear end of youngests car. He bought it from the dealership a few weeks ago and its sat there ever since having a fault fixed.... Not a problem, he's been running round in a brand new motor courtesy of the dealership.

He arranged to have his 'black box' fitted today at the dealership and the insurance company wouldnt fit it.

They didnt approve of the 'modification'. The car salesman who he bought it off said he would take the sticker off there and then but it wasnt good enough.

They have charged him an extra £40 for another call out (when the sticker has been removed).

It would be funny if it hadnt cost him an extra £40.
