Soon it will be machines and virtual branches, where you use an iPad to video call a banking advisor to open accounts...
Isn't that what Barclays have converted their branches into already?
And rumour has it that Nationwide are rolling out screens in-branch that customers will be directed to so they can video chat with an advisor rather than making the counter area look untidy by queuing to speak to a real person. One day the machines will take over and then we'll be sorry
