Golf 1.4 TSI ACT GT (140 PS) - 2013 - £12,295 - good deal?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new "used" car, and do roughly 7-8,000 miles per year (occasional motorway driving). I was recommended a VW Golf 1.4, but wondered what people thought about the following one -

Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI ACT GT (140 PS) - 2013 - 32,750 miles - manual

http://usedcars.volkswagen.co.uk/dealer/Golf/1.4-TSI-ACT-GT-140-PS/Southampton/3573241-606287525-34708.aspx?srcmdc=se_ce_re_

They have agreed to sell it at £12,295 with 2 years warranty/services - would you say this is a good price?

Also, any estimates on the value in 5 years assuming 10,000 miles a year and the car is kept in a good condition?

Thanks

It's a four year old Golf, with a main dealer approved-used premium. Shouldn't be hard to find a whole bunch of comparables.

What'll it be worth at 9yo and 80k miles...? Well, you could look at what 2008 Golfs are currently fetching as a clue.

The two years warranty / services suggests you're going to have to use the PCP finance offer? Its at a relatively high APR, so be careful of that if you are.

Price looks decent - particularly given its got full leather and is an Approved Used car.

Comparable non Approved Used cars with similar miles seem to be around the same price on autotrader.

Thanks I was looking to cancel within 14 days or settle after the first month, assuming it wouldn't have too much of a negative impact on my credit rating.

Definitely do that. Sounds like a plan.

Just satisfy yourself that the engine is reliable. Lots of problems with it over the years.

I would spend a couple of grand more for the Audi A3 equivalent. Audis are much more desirable.

You obviously believe everything you read on the internet. Do you really think I was being serious about driving a Corsa in an expensive car thread? LOL how gullable are you?

Also, limited black edition VXR doesn't even exist lol

A lot like all the other cars you've owned, then.

Shouldn't you be getting ready for bed, anyway? School tomorrow.
