IPC appeal questions answered

Hi all -
I recently returned to my vehicle with a parking notice stuck to my screen, but ignored it based on forum advice and have now received a notice to keeper via post. The firm is with IPC, and the stickie on these forums gives a draft email to send which I intended to do; however I logged onto their appeals website to write it using my reg number and notice reference number, but it has a ton of info that seems to make the draft email unnecessary.
For example, these are the questions in the draft email, with the info that is in the online appeals section:
1. Who is the party that contracted with your company and are the the landowner? The ticket is from a local university, and it states they are the landowner.
2. Is your charge based on damages for breach of contract? Answer yes or no.
3. Please provide photos of the signs that you say were on site, which you contend formed a contract with the driver. There is a photo of the sign, although its a small sign hung on the far fence.
4. Please provide all photographs taken of this vehicle. There are 8 photos of my vehicle here.
5. Please provide proof that the timing of any camera or timer used was synchronised with all other cameras and/or systems & machines.
There were no machines - I just parked in an empty plot where i shouldn't have been parked apparently (used to be a car park but apparently isn't anymore).
Am I right in saying there's no point using the example appeal based on the above, and if so, does anyone have any idea what I should do?
Thanks

Which PPC was it? Have they attempted to hold the keeper liable, if so what wording?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Vehicle Control Services LTD.
"It says "the driver of the above chicle is liable for the parking charge for which payment is now due. This charge charge relates to the period of parking (including remaining at the car park/site) immediately preceding the contravention time specified in this notice, the charge having been incurred of the reason stated and liability for the same having been brought to the attention of the driver by clear signage in and and the site at the time of parking."0 -
Further down though, it will say something about after 29 days the registered keeper may be liable.
Or that they are holding you liable on the 'assumption that you were the driver'.

Oh sorry, yes. At the very bottom it says that if they've not heard back within 28 days they may pursue the registered keeper for any paid balance.0

"Important note: if after the period of 28 days beginning with the day of the issue date of this notice the amount of the unpaid parking charge specific in this notice has not been paid in full and we do not know both the name of the drive and a current address for service for the driver we may pursue the registered keeper for any unpaid balance of the parking charge. This notice will be deemed to have been received by you on the second working day after the issue date stated above unless the contrary is proved."0

Thanks - what would the plan be then? Do you think I'm going to have to pay it? I don't want to miss opportunity to pay the smaller amount.0

What on earth? Have you read the NEWBIES FAQs in the capital letter-headed thread, top of this forum?
How is the forum's advice not clear on:
(a) what the plan is next
(b) whether anyone ever, ever tells people to pay (clue - we don't, unless a Judge says so - VERY rare)
and (c) whether anyone gives a hoot about the bribe. It is not an 'opportunity' - please get wise and come off this little thread and read some others. The OPs who understand things best are those who read the forum and search for other threads, look back, scroll back, read each one where the headings suggests a similar case, etc. And read the NEWBIES FAQs first.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
