the cut off for 2 kids ( no disabilities and no childcare is around 32k.

with your wife's ESA your household income would be around
    32/33.

if you take the £2,500 disregard ( for drops/increases in income) i can't see that you would get anything

Hi complete understand that were not entitled to anything 2016/2017
Would we be now entitled to anything in 2017/2018?
2017/2018 projected income £26945 (me) and contrubuition based ESA £4896. So that is a total income of £31841. So we may get something even if its £50 a month?

i am presuming that your wife is in the Work Related Activity Group?

you realise that this is only paid for 365 days from the date she claimed?

when is the anniversary of her claim?

Yes in a work activity group
No we didnt know it was 365 days (just read now! but poss could go to outcome related ESA?) anniversary of claim is Early August.
So projected income would now be 29393

If you mean income related then your income will preclude any payment so will likely go to NI credits only come August

plys £2,500 because the first 2.5k of any drop in income is ignored.

if you claimed last year ( hence the overpayment) then you already have an open claim. you should receive a renewed pack within the next couple of months to finalise last years claim and give all the information for this years claim.

Im sorry i dont quite understand what you mean with : plys £2,500 because the first 2.5k of any drop in income is ignored.
So from what your saying I just sit and wait till i get last years statement?
Also from what you have said it sounds like we cant claim anything till poss after August?

if you phone them now to report a change ( drop in income) they will tell you to wait for the renewal pack.

you complete this giving the information requested.

they will base the award on 16/17.
when they have sent the award letter, you phone and update with accurate income figures for this year and they will recalculate.

the figure they will use will be your estimated income for this year PLUS £2,500 because the first £2,500 change in income ( up or down) is disregarded.

    NI = national insurance credits
