advent calenders

Hi
Can anyone recommend a good place to get a reusable advent calender. I was thinking of getting either a felt one or a wooden chest one which has draws for each day. Most i've seen are £20 upwards and i didn't want to spend that much.
I like to the idea of having an advent calender you can use year after year.
Thanks for your help.

Got ours a few years ago from Studio http://www.toyshop.24studio.co.uk/shared/izoom/zoom.htm?b=AUG_AW2007&p=202&i=223-662-29WWs&h=958&w=795&l=shot.asp?b=AUG_AW2007&p=202&o=1&s=3&u=undefined&status_code=undefined&r=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ecatalogue%2E24studio%2Eco%2Euk%2Fshared%2Fsearch%2Fviewresults%2Easp%3Fp%3D1&movie=undefined&frommovie=undefined, can't remember the price. It's felt in the shape of an Xmas Tree and I find with 4 children it's cheaper to keep reusing it filled with Celebrations or whatever. Hope you manage to find one but if not what about trying to make one, just an idea.Panda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0 -
hi not sure if the link will work you may have to type in advent into the search box

Tesco has a really nice Finest wooden advent calendar in a tree shape - it has pull out drawers with chocolates in. It costs £9.99, which I didn't think was too bad considering the throw away chocolate calendars are a couple of quid each and you could reuse this one for years.
I saw it in the Tesco Extra store at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this morning..Go your own way..

and its only £10
I dont seem to be able to get my link to work properly - but go to next home page and search for advent. - really cute stockings advent calendar0 -
Got mine from Poundland couple of years ago - cost - well a pound

Really nice felt santa with wool hair and a wooden hanger.
DD doesn't really go for sweets/choc - so I buy badges throughout the year (10p - 25p each) and she gets a badge every day instead which she puts on her school bag.
Oh - I did see one in debenhams last weekend - it was 24 mini stockings to go on the tree and came with 24 mini chccy bars - £10ish - looked on the website - but couldn't find it, sorry0 -
ever thought about making one?0

Costco do beautiful wooden Advent Calendars with gorgeous hand made wooden ornaments behind each door / drawer. They're usually about £17, but they're so well made they'd last years and years.... I've got two, one for each of my kids and then they can use them for their own kids if they have any (in about 30 years or so!)....:D0

I got one from aldi last year. They will probably be having them again. It was 4.99 i think.Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0
