Parking Company increased amount due early

Got a parking ticket from Highview parking for overstaying by 23 minutes. Appealed based on lack of parent child spaces and took a long time to find a suitable space to get baby out of the car. Didn't have much of a leg to stand on, due to the fact I had no evidence of shopping on the retail park, so fair enough. I appealed to POPLA and they agreed with the parking company and upheld their fine. They gave me 28 days to pay.
This morning I got a letter in the post, stating they were upping the amount from £85.00 to £125 for missing the payment deadline. The thing is, it has only been 25 days since POPLA made the decision and at the time of the letter it was 22 days.
I'm not happy that they are trying to get extra money out of me before the deadline set by POPLA. Surely they are breaching the terms?
Should I phone them and give them my card details now? I was going to do it on Monday, but I'm worried that they will try to take more money than they are actually entitled to.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dom

No you must not pay them. if you havent got a leg to stand on why weren't you in a disabled bay.
POPLA is not binding on the motorist.
What parking company was it? and where was the car park?
landowner cancellation is an option that should be followed up on.From the Plain Language Commission:

Thanks! The company is called Highview Parking and the car park is for the Boulevard Retail park in Borehamwood, Herts. I will contact the landowner to see if they'll cancel it.0

Are you sure you haven't got a debt collector [STRIKE]letter [/STRIKE] piece of scrap paper, Highview can't increase their silly charge to £125!0

Not true at all. If you'd come here earlier your legs would be standing and the PCN would have been cancelled in a single day:

'Highview' and 'pay them', should never appear in the same sentence together.
They should be causing you no concerns. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks for the advice. Wish I'd come here earlier, but I thought I could get out of it myself. Seems to me like, since this was a contract entered into by the driver and Highview, as soon as they change the amount in the terms of the contract before the time allotted within the contract, they are in breach of said contract?! Also, the car is in my girlfriends name and she received the letter from them. I (stupidly) in the appeal said that I was driving, but they are still pursuing her for the money. Surely, it should be the end of their correspondence with her now?0

Well, I gave them my name, but not the address. It's the same as hers, but is she legally bound to tell them that?0

No, of course not, but my word you are a worrier, it seems, from the way you post as if any of this matters.
If she's that bothered get her to name you and give your address and then you can ignore the stupid letters. Honestly, just Google them, they are nothing to worry about.
Personally I say she should ignore them, after all they know she was not driving so they have no case against her in law.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
