Just a quick post before bedtime...

Really hoping to be able to get the PC that I've had my eye on; going into town tomorrow for the shop opening.

Been looking at getting a "You"... will updte on progress ;D

Been in contact with my creditors, so far they have been understanding. Have told them that I am unable to pay, that I have over-extended myself and need to get my finances in order. Explained that I am seeking advice and support (StepChange / CAB). So far, so good...

I WILL get through this, I will not let this overcome me...

    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
    Only I will remain

    I got the PC :D
Spent most of today playing... I mean setting it up *ahem

I've been busy installing all the programmes that I need on to the PC and it is quite an improvement on my old lappy.

Installed Google Chrome over IE (as you do...)

Have my spreadsheets and planners all up and running now.

    Well happy with it.

Is it possible to share planners and organisers on the forum?
I've done some work on spreadsheets (Excel) budget planners and organisers to help myself get things sorted and wondered if it would be possible to share the templates so that other folks could use them.
I don't want anything for them, if they help someone else to deal with their debt and get debt free that's payment enough for me...
I'll prepare the templates, should anyone know of a way to share them on here, let me know, thanks :D

I see there is already a Budget Planner thingy on the site... there appears to be issues with it though :(

  • A few posts have links to Google spreadsheets (like the save 12k in 2017 thread over at the savings board)
You could always post them up in here and you never know who may be able to help

Oo shiny new pc! Sounds like you're getting on alright with it and got it working for you with the planning :j

Debt wise, you'll get there. There may be bumps, twists and turns but you'll still get there :)

If you're going to get a pet make sure you can budget for insurance or a pet emergency fund. Vet bills can be very expensive and it's heart breaking when people don't have the money to care for a beloved pet properly.

    Thank you :)

I'll have a look at that.

The PC is new-to-me but not new and it is shiny... cos I cleaned the casing ;)
It's an HP (Compaq) Presario tower, has Windows 7 Home premium, an Intel Dual core Pentium processor and is a not bad home PC.
I have installed AVG and AVG PC Tune up, Microsoft Office, removed Internet Explorer from default browser and installed Google Chrome (does anyone use IE anymore? Seems to be standard to replace it ASAP lol). I also installed a few other programmes that I need and use regularly.

Today is a housework day and I'm also going to be putting down new vinyl in the kitchen, well not exactly new it's an offcut from a friend that's big enough for my small kitchen.

Fur babies! Yes, I am still looking at giving a home to a cat :D
I will be taking out Pet Insurance as I know how much it can cost for vet bills and the insurance is always handy to have...

Right, breakfast and then the chores...
    Catch up again later
Have a lovely Sunday people :)

    Hi Uncanny Scot

Thank for popping by my diary. Feel free to pinch anything you like :)

Have just caught up with your diary and you're doing great. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and take each day as it comes and you'll get to where you want to be in no time.

    Best of luck :)
