    Evening readers :D

Today has been another productive day :)

I finally caught the calls I had been missing from creditors asking for updates on my situation.
A wee tip folks - let them call you, if you call them it will cost you. Found this out with last months mobile bill... £8 more than usual just because I'd followed up on a missed call

So, everyone updated and all accounts bar one are on hold with no further interest or charges being applied.
One creditor will not put on hold or stop interest and charges until they have proof of my sequestration... kinda childish and irrelevant really as they will only get what they will be getting and nothing more... this was after they said "we can put everything on hold for 30 days if you can pay us £15 now" and I politely refused... they will now be passing the account to their collections agents in about a weeks time apparently :rotfl:
This from the same muppets that said that the CAB couldn't help me with my debts :rotfl:

Now, chilling wi a cuppa and biccies (mmmm custard creams :) )
Hope everyone else has had a good day too
Going to read and have a catch up on what you've all been up to and say hello to any new folks

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Was visiting my wee mammy yesterday and she was telling me she had found my Grans old cook books and baking recipes that my Mam got as a present when she and my Dad got married...
She said that if she'd had girls herself she would have passed them on to her eldest lassie... tradition and all that... anyway, she asked me if I wanted them...
I am a good cook myself, according to the folks I've cooked for anyway and I can bake too (used to help my Gran who was an awesome cook and baker when I was a wee lad...) so I thought, why not?
I love reading how Hiddenidentity, GreyingPilgrim and others turn what they have (leftovers and cupboard ingredients etc) into good meals and tasty treats for them and the wee yins and would love to have a go at this myself ;)
So, looking for tips here folks, I know the basics of what I need to get a hold of to make this all work but please, please share any tips on must have items for an aspiring cook and baker :D
I have a basic electric cooker with a single oven and just the one rack. Would love a gas cooker with a double oven but obviously cannot afford one at the mo... saving, saving ;)
I shall post up piccies of my creations when I can.
Having a relaxing morning so far and catching up with folks on here and popping into your diaries to say hi etc
Have a lovely day folks :A

I got a cheap 'stand mixer' with gift vouchers from surveys, it was £30 :o but I use it for everything! Before this I just used a good old whisk ;) It does make things a lot easier. I'm very basic, I don't follow recipes much and I'm a chuck in what I got and hope its edible ;) No seriously I have my cooker and mixer, value baking tins, a few from amazon with survey vouchers but still the cheapest I could find. My bero book ;) be lost without it for the kids treats.

Don't be 'scared' to chuck things in and try. Be experimental its fun :p

Gonna scour the charity shops for baking stuff this afternoon, hopefully find a mixer or something in there. Tins, trays n bowls etc too.
Gonna bake something nice for my tea tonight if I manage to get what I need

Not sure where you are but if you have home bargains they regularly have discount baking things/ingredients in. Also Argos Value and supermarket Value are okay. Wilkos have a good cheap range too.

    Have fun ;) x

You daft thing, why would we laugh.

You could keep an eye out in charity shops for baking tins, etc. Also wilkos have some good basic bits.

Keep an eye out on free cycle for electrically being given away. Mind you I bet if you told folks you know some folks will have things they want to declutter.

I'm not much of a baker. I make bread dough in my food processor and it turns out nice. If I do it hand it's a disaster. I do like a nice chuck it in soup though.

Any samples can also be tested if you want.;)

Edited. Say I just spotted your charity shop comment, I missed it before.
