Can anyone recommend an area of the Algarve that is not too built up, but is not dead either. Somewhere scenic with places nearby to visit. Also how long is the flight from uk to Faro ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am pleased that you said that as I wanted a short flight and someone on another board said it was 3 1/2 hours, which seems longer than I would expect.
Thanks.0 -
Lagos is very nice. You have an interesting old town, with plenty of bars and restaurants, a marina with lots of big boats to drool over and excellent beaches nearby. It is also fairly close to Cape St.Vincent (the end of the world !) and the old town of Silves with it's Moorish castle to explore. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

The Vale do Lobo area isn't built up and has one of the finest beaches in the Algarve. There is also a world class golf course and tennis club.0 -
